Los Blancos enjoyed a dream week after claiming their 36th La Liga title last Sunday, but celebrations were put on hold due to their Champions League semi-final second leg.

Carlo Ancelotti‘s side reached the Wembley showpiece on Wednesday following a dramatic comeback win over Bayern Munich meaning it was party time in Madrid this weekend.

Bellingham, who has broken through the 20-goal barrier, was front and centre for the club’s title party.

The 20-year-old showed off his bilingual skills on top of Madrid’s team bus by calling teammate Vinicius Junior the best player in the world.

However, more impressively, Bellingham soon delivered a longer Spanish speech in front of thousands of fans that had gathered at the club’s traditional celebration spot at Plaza de Cibeles.

Manager Ancelotti, club president Florentino Perez, Madrid captain Nacho Fernandez and Toni Kross all addressed the crowd before Bellingham took the mic.

Having arguably received the loudest ovation, Bellingham put his Spanish to good use to the delight of the supporters below him.

“Thank you so much for your support this season,” the midfielder began.

“One more great match at Wembley. Let’s go to win. Hala Madrid!”

Bellingham’s speech was short and swift but nevertheless, his confidence and authority to speak so publicly in a language he has only learnt for 10 months wowed fans.

“He didn’t even stutter,” one fan wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter, while another said, “Sounds good, he did so well. I’m so proud.”

A third fan commented: “That’s beautiful, in less than one year.”

Bellingham’s praise from Madrid fans comes just days after England’s most famous player to wear the all-white strip lauded his efforts.

Three Lions icon David Beckham told talkSPORT: “Obviously the season that Jude’s had, the talent that he is. But it’s not just the talent with Jude, it’s about the way he is, the way he handles himself, he’s a model pro that knows exactly what he needs to do.

“For someone that is so young to have the maturity that he has is incredible and I think him playing abroad has helped him with that.

“Now he’s obviously at Real Madrid where the expectations are higher than most other clubs around the world and he’s living up to those.

“It’s great to see his smile, it’s great to see the talent that he is and when he gets in that England shirt, we’ll all be very happy as well.”
