Festivalgoers throw colored cornstarch into the air as a band performs during the Holi Festival of Colors held Saturday, March 30, 2019, at the Sri Sri Radha Krishna Temple in Spanish Fork.

The 29th annual Spanish Fork Festival of Colors will be held this weekend at the Sri Sri Radha Krishna Temple at 311 West 8500 S. The festival will be on Saturday and Sunday.

The Holi Festival of Colors is a traditional Hindu celebration that marks the beginning of spring and the end of winter.

This weekend’s celebration in Spanish Fork will include live music performances, DJs, dancing, yoga sessions, food and, of course, color throws.

Performers and artists slated for this year’s celebration include The Butter Thieves, DJ Crisanto, DJ Vaibhav and the Utah Punjabi Arts Academy.

On Saturday, the festival will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on Sunday it will start at 11 a.m. and go until 4 p.m.

A schedule for performances can be found at festivalofcolorsusa.com. Tickets can be bought online or at the gate, and kids under 12 years old can get free entry.

Attendees cannot bring outside color powder into the festival and will have to purchase colors at the festival.

There also will be two other festival of color celebrations in Utah — one in Ogden on June 1 and one in Salt Lake City on June 8.
